The Annual Women's Program has been cancelled for November 14th. The new date is March 27, 2009. Look for additional information as it becomes available. Rosenwald Alumni and Friends Meeting An organizational meeting will be held on November 18th at 3:00pm at the Cooperative Extension Center, 112 Court Street, Gatesville. The purpose of the committee is to assist with getting the Reid Grove School (Rosenwald School) and all other Rosenwald Schools in the county recognized as a National Historic Landmark. Rosenwald Schools were built to educate African-Americans before integration. Currently, there are three still standing in Gates County: Current EIC Building, one standing next to Zion Tabernacle Church, Corapeake; private residence in Gates.
