Now more than ever it is important for people to understand where their food and clothing comes from. Although Gates County is extremely rural and agriculture is one of the most important components of our economy, many people do not understand that the fields they ride by every day are growing crops that are used to clothe and feed them. Through this series of videos we will focus on plant growth beginning May 5th through harvest. It is our goal to show what is growing, how it grows, and how it translates into groceries and clothing we buy at retail stores. Follow along with us and see “What’s Growing in Gates County” this summer.
