Collapse ▲N.C. Cooperative Extension, Gates County Center will be offering a number of opportunities to receive Private Applicator Pesticide License credits this winter meeting season. Meetings will look different due to COVID-19 restrictions; however, we are committed to providing research-based information as safely as possible. We will be offering a number of in-person/Zoom training sessions in the upcoming months. In-person training will be limited in attendance and all COVID-19 restrictions must be followed by attendees. The current restrictions require no more than 10 participants, which includes speakers, masks must be worn, and attendees must be spaced 6ft apart. In order to receive pesticide credits for Zoom meetings, participants must keep their webcams on throughout the duration of the meetings. For questions or concerns, please contact Helen Eure, Extension Director, or BJ Okleshen, Extension Admin at 252-357-1400.
To accommodate as many growers as possible throughout Northeastern North Carolina, the Northeast Ag. Expo team is offering multiple in-person/Zoom meetings instead of just one of each. Meetings will be offered online via Zoom and in-person. Current restrictions only allow 10 in-person participants at each meeting which includes the speaker and/or agent. If you’d like to attend in person, you must contact the Gates County office at least 24 hours prior to class. To receive the Zoom link and passcode, email Helen Eure at helen_eure@ncsu.edu or BJ Okleshen at bj_okleshen@ncsu.edu. Two hours of N,O,D,& X credits will be offered for each meeting. The soybean production meetings will be offered on January 12, 13, & 14, 2021, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. The following week, the corn production meetings will be held on January 19, 20, & 21, 2021, from 8:30–10:30 a.m.
