Are you interested in cooking and LOVE making new, original dishes? Then this is the competition for you…Small Farm Week Virtual Dish-Off.

Dish-Off Guidelines

  1. Register as an “individual,” no team registrations due to COVID-19 regulations. Youth will be grouped into the following divisions (please provide your age when registering):
    1. Intermediate Division: age 9-12
    2. Jr. Division: age 13-15
    3. Sr. Division: age 16-18
  2. Utilize ALL ingredients listed on the ingredient list.
    1. The list of ingredients will be provided upon registration.
  3. Provide your dish-off recipe to the event organizer prior to judging.
    1. The recipe should be emailed to Dr. Shannon Wiley (srwiley@ncat.edu) no later than March 15, 2021.
  4. A first, second, & third-place winner will be selected in each category.
Judging Criteria  – Judging will take place via Zoom on Tuesday, March 23 during the SFW festivities. Judging will begin at 5:30 p.m. Detailed information regarding participant judging time and Zoom login will be provided upon registration. All participants will be judged on the following criteria:
  1.  Knowledge of My Plate
  2.  Nutrition Knowledge
  3.  Food Preparation and Practices
  4.  Serving Size Information
  5.  Cost Analysis of the Dish
  6.  Appearance & Creativity of the Dish
