This spring, second graders in Gates County took part in the 4-H Embryology program—a hands-on learning experience that brings science to life right in the classroom! Through this egg-citing project, students learn about the life cycle of a chicken by observing and caring for real eggs in an incubator.
For 21 days, students watched the eggs closely, learned about embryo development, and practiced responsibility as they monitored temperature and humidity. The highlight? Watching fluffy chicks hatch right before their eyes!
